school visits

Engaging with third graders at Stone Lakes Elementary.

Are you a teacher or media specialist in the Orlando area? I am currently scheduling author visits for the 2019-2020 school year. (Maximum number of students: sixty per session.)

Poetry is Fun (grades k-4)

This program teaches the elements of poetry and can be adapted according to the ages of the children. Students will learn symbolism, personification, simile, metaphor, rhyme etc. They will be encouraged to read along as I share some of my original poems. Estimated time: thirty to forty minutes.

Buddy the Beagle on Blueberry Street (grades 2-5)

The estimated time for this program is forty-five minutes and includes:

  • a reading from my newly published children’s book
  • how writers find inspiration
  • story elements
  • the publishing process
  • the benefits of reading

Both of these programs can be better appreciated if I have access to powerpoint projection. If you are interested in scheduling a visit please email me at the address below or message me through my facebook page.

I am an approved Addition volunteer for Orange County Public Schools. Buddy the Beagle on Blueberry Street will make a perfect addition to your library. I am listed as an OCPS vendor.
