I am an award-winning poet, and children’s author with a heart for teaching children. In 2013 I began writing after retiring from a career in teaching. I was employed by Orange County Public Schools for twenty years and taught ESOL, second grade, and third grade.
Since my retirement, I have published three early reader chapter books with Elk Lake Publishing. Buddy the Beagle on Blueberry Street (2019) Return to Blueberry Street (2020) and Truckload of Trouble (2022) comprise my series entitled the Tails of Blueberry Street. I am represented by Michelle S. Lazurek of WordWise Media.
As a member of WordWeavers International, I honed my writing skills through critique group discussions. By attending the Florida Christian Writers Conference I made valuable contacts who furthered my progress as a writer.

I love the outdoors. Here I am on a camping trip at Highlands Hammock State Park in Florida with my husband Herb, and our sweet beagle, Buddy.
Recently I was interviewed by Valerie Fentress of Bookworthy Podcast. Click on the link to hear the interview.
